Phnom Chisor - What a day we had!

It was a hot sticky day for our Phnom Chisor trip, but our students showed perseverance, determination and commitment to make it up all the stairs!

I was very proud of a few of our students who supported others who were finding it tough!

We had a lovely time looking at the Angkor temple, the Sleeping Buddha, the Apsara Kiosk and Pond, The Buddha Shrine and the Seated Buddha protected by Naga.

Here are a few comments from the students themselves:

  • It was exhausting, but it in the end we thought it was fun!
  • The stairs were long, but that made me strong!
  • Not matter how hard it was, it was worth the effort to see the view at the top!
  • Even though the temple was old, it was still interesting because the formation of the buildings had detail that showed us that it was really ancient!
  • Climbing the mountain was worth it to hear the stories of Buddha!
  • We learnt that the temple was originally a Hindu temple, but now it is mostly a Buddhist temple.
  • It was amazing to see such old architecture that is still standing! Although we did see some parts that had fallen down and work was being done to support the ancient buildings!
