Homework Plan

Some students have been finding it hard to manage their weekly events, plus get their homework done. As we only want students to be doing 40 mins of homework each day, we have been guiding them to think about how to create a homework plan. It is slow going at the moment, but they will become quicker and more independent if we persevere! A HW plan example is always at the end of the homework page under the reminders.

We have been talking each week and sometimes every day about what the homework entails and how to manage each task during the week, so that we are more efficient with time. I think students now understand how to undertake this, but please encourage your child to talk to Ms. Melinda, so they do not get upset or distressed about anything at home.

We have mentioned that those who have very hectic lives at the moment should be encouraged to talk to Ms. Melinda, so we can together, make a plan to complete. We are more than happy to enable our students by changing details to make life easier.

Communication is the key in avoiding being completely weighed down!
