Asia Foundation Trip

Yesterday G5s had a fabulous opportunity that does not come around every day!

We went to the Asia Foundation gallery and were led by a visual artist,  Khiang  Hei, who shared his experiences as an artist with us.

He then spoke to us about messages behind his artwork and introduced us to a charcoal mural created by an artist known as Vollak.

Students then experimented with using charcoal in their process journals before being invited to enhance Vollak's work. This experience confused some students, but after a while they began to understand the meaning of temporary art and that helped them relax and enjoy the experience.

Please look at your child's journal to see the results and look at the pictures below to see how it was experience.
