Here are some examples of how to answer questions in the homework packet.

Follow each step as follows:

1. Look at the example question.
2. Look at the new question and follow the example.
3. You must show the relevant visual strategy to answer question.
4. You must write the steps to answer the question using mathematical calculations.
5. You must do the 'check' to be sure that you have got the correct answer.
6. You must use the same format to answer the word problems, but add a sentence to answer the question/s.

Lesson 6 HW Example using arrays: In this example you can show me how to calculate the answer using an equation. For example for the first question: 

3/4 of 8 - you multiply 3 x 8 = 24, then divide 24 by 4, so the answer is 6.
