Everything created was related to the global issue students have chosen to investigate further!
Firstly, they explored and experimented with origami, spending an hour desperately working out instructions, talking together, reading together, deciphering videos, books, and learning from each to fold and fold again!
Perseverance was definitely a strong attribute today as no one gave up, but rather, they helped and supported each other beautifully! As a consequence of all this activity, students barely noticed how much time had gone by when Ms. Melinda asked them to pack up!
Later in the morning, students had the opportunity to explore further, but this time they used paper, cardboard, recycled items, clay and modelling clay to create a 3D depiction of their issue.
Once again, they explored with enthusiasm and gusto and were excited not only with the process, but also with the results!
Here are the pictures to show you how the morning went down!
