Students worked hard analysing their market research, carrying out more discussions with their peers, and making decisions that should make a difference for how well their product or service sells.
After reading and discussing the outcomes of the story: How to make Big Bolstead Bucks, students then looked into following a business plan to methodically go through the appropriate steps of selling their product or service.
Some interesting and frustrating discussions were held as students had to weigh up their own ideas against those of their consumers (their peers) and make some tough decisions in order to keep their original idea in tack! Some companies made some creative choices and thought of ways to make more money, such as happened in the Bolstead Bucks story. Let's see what happens on the 27th!
By Friday, students were well in the swing of production, making sure to consult together and follow their business plan to ensure they are taking the necessary steps towards success.
This next week will be all about taste testing for those creating food and drinks, advertising and more production. By the end of the week we will be discussing some contingencies for the market day and what steps we can take if our plans do not work.
Here are some photos for you to enjoy.
