Exponents

A query came up in class today about the relationship between exponents and squaring numbers.

Unfortunately today, we ran out of time to finish our discussion, so I thought I would use my favourite site to help. I have included this link in an email to my students with some definitions and examples that are an extension of what we have been doing in class.

We will continue our discussion on Monday to confirm information provided and clarify any misunderstandings, but I am always excited when students question and clarify and am happy to provide further resources to guide them.
