The traditional vs the new version of 'The 3 Little Pigs' story

 THE TRADITIONAL FAIRYTALE    VS      THE NEW VERSION   

                            

This morning, as a lead into persuasive texts, G5 MMs created arguments based on the following proposition:

Which version of the 3 Little Pigs do you think is the real story?

Two groups argued for the original fairytale and two groups argued for the new version.

They designed their argument using the persuasive structure according to Writing Is fun, but they made choices as to how they presented their argument to the class.

Here they are preparing their arguments.

 This group argued for the new version of the story and presented their work as a poster and orally.

This group argued for the original fairytale and presented their argument orally.

 This group created their argument as an iMovie: The Argument in favour of the original story

 This group also created an iMovie: The Argument in support of the new version

The consensus was that there was not conclusive evidence for us to prove one way or the other, but after assessing each group's argument, we did understand  how to establish a stronger argument based on this original fairytale through structure, language choices and delivery.
