Today we had Bill Smith come to talk to us today about Human Rights and his work with the Khmer Rouge trials.
It was quite a powerful chat with students revealing their growing level of knowledge about human rights and feeling empowered to ask relevant and important questions to further their understanding.
Here a some summaries written by our students:

Mr Bill came to talk to us, he is a lawyer. He talked about the Khmer Rouge which was very sad and heartbreaking, but it was true and it happened here in Cambodia. He mentioned human rights that world leaders agreed on.
Wouter
Mr William talked to us about what he does as a lawyer. He tries to stop the people who worked for the Khmer Rouge. He also talked to us about an article that has 30 rights.
Summer Rose
Mr William Smith talked to us about Human Rights, he explained to us what they are and how they came to be. Mr William also talked about the Khmer Rouge and how it was a major violation of all human rights. He is currently part of the case trying to sue the leaders.

Bill Smith puts people in jail. He is a lawyer and he came to talk to us about human rights. He is part of the prosecution team and he talked about the Khmer Rouge and how that is connected to his work.

He told us about the Khmer Rouge. He told us about his job and what he does. He said people were forced to be slaves and they were forced to get married.

Mr Bill came and talked about Human rights, WW2 and how people were treated in the Khmer Rouge. The Khmer Rouge had killed more than a quarter of the people in Cambodia.

Mr Bill Smith came to ISPP to talk to us about Human Rights. He came to us to talk about Human Rights because it is a big problem in Cambodia. When he was telling us about Human Rights my emotions went up and down. He presented a PPT presentation as well as talking to us.

Today (16/12/15) Mr William Smith came and taught us about human rights in the time of the Khmer Rouge. while Mr William was talking I got quite emotional because he told us many people got tortured and had been forced to do a lot of things.

This morning Bill Smith came to talk to us about human rights. He works as a lawyer and a prosecutor at the Khmer Rouge court. He also talked about the declaration of rights and what the Khmer rouge did.

All people need rights, how, we can talk to governments and raise awareness. William Smith talked about how rights should be respected and when we don't respect our rights lots of very bad things happen, like what happened in the Khmer Rouge.

Mr Bill helps protect human rights for people. He works as a prosecutor in the Khmer Rouge court.

Today, Mr Bill came to talk about human rights. He talked about what rights we have and the Khmer Rouge. He works in the court and s trying to catch the people that were in the Khmer Rouge.

Today, Mr Bill Smith came to talk to us about human rights and the Khmer Rouge. As a lawyer and a prosecutor, he tries to send the people from the Khmer Rouge to jail. He does this for the justice of the people.
