Organisations - Structure and Function

This week we have been focusing on the structure and function of organisations.

We looked at the various aspects of an organisation, such as understanding what their vision and mission statements were about and clarified what they were individually and collectively.

We looked at a collection of brochures to understand how organisations present themselves, whilst also understanding how brochures are used to advertise and persuade and then connected that to our own issues.

We created our own brochures based on our issue - results of which will be seen on our blogs this week.

We also looked at the roles within organisations and how the roles are structured, so that the organisation can be successful.

Students created an organisation structure chart using jobs that make up the essential structure of an organisation. Some very interesting discussions ensued as a result, that engaged everyone in conversations, as most students could identify with these structures through their own life experience.

Here are some photos to tell the story.
