Our Digitial Footprint

Before the holiday we worked with Ms Marcelle to discuss our digital footprint.

We first decided individually how we would like others to view us and wrote that down.

We then had a look at our own footprint by using a variety of recap apps to see how we are being portrayed online.

We looked at the following questions:
What do these profiles say?
What do you notice?

We also studied and discussed what our profiles revealed about us as people and came to some conclusions about online safety.

Here are some things that we came up with:

• We should be careful about photos that we post online.
• We should make sure we use privacy settings appropriately.
• We should be careful about what we write online.
• Be careful about who follows you and who you have as your friends online.
• If you see something online that worries you, such as online bullying, share it with someone you trust. Do not take action on your own.
