Pulling apart Materials

Yesterday, Mr Matt came and supported us in pulling apart different materials to see what materials they are made of and how they are put together.

We had the following items:

1. 2 Computers
2. A variety of toys
3. Old netbooks
4. A broken playstation

We split into groups and worked as a team to pull apart these items.

The challenge that Mr Matt gave us was a bit more than just pulling things apart. We also had to try to put it back together again.

It was both exciting and challenging, but students showed their ability to persevere through a task and made progress even with the most challenging - the playstation!

Our next step is to use an online mind map to record our findings about different items in our world to show our understanding of the PYP concepts linked to this UOI.
