This exercise was created because, we as a class, have become very passionate about our environment and the impact human beings have upon it. This developed as part of our inquiry through our materials unit and what we are discovering now through looking into a variety of local issues, as well through our debates. We have been talking a lot about what we can do to make sure our planet is looked after.
Yesterday, after all the recycled items had been displayed for some time in our classroom, students presented their item and explained their rationale for its creation.
It certainly revealed their creativity and through discussion, made us all think about how we can make better use of items that we tend to throw away without thinking.
So, as students have developed their own thoughts and opinions on the issue, parents can expect some discussion at home about how families recycle.
Here are the photos for you to enjoy.
