Team Building: Building a catapult!

Last Friday, as a team building exercise, we worked in teams of 4, 2 students from Ms. Melinda's class and 2 from Ms. Emily's.

We built a catapult to send a cotton ball flying.

It was a real challenge, but teams soon learnt how they were going to make this work with only 3 elastic bands, 7 paddle pop sticks and 1 cotton ball.

Some catapults worked better than others, but we all showed perseverance and commitment to the task, that in the end, helped everyone to be successful.

The winning team was a little irrelevant, as we all felt a sense of accomplishment, but we believe the winning distance was around 300cms + (I'll need to clarify with Sam and Molly).

Well done all teams!

Here's some pictures of the fun!

About to release the cotton balls!
