Earth Day activities with G1 buddies

Last week we meet with our buddies on Earth Day.

We watched a reading of the book Earth Book and listened to songs together to understand the meaning behind Earth Day.

Students then worked together to create mobiles and bookmarks that reflected their growing knowledge.

We completed these items today and teachers were very impressed with the knowledge that both G1 & G5 students demonstrated.

They have a clear understanding of the need to protect our earth and could even explain what they could and would do in their daily lives to protect it.

There were many attributes and attitudes displayed today, but here are a few that sprung to mind:

Caring
Empathy
Compassion
Commitment
