Songwriting

Today, the songwriting group had a wonderful opportunity to work with Ms Maia, who is a friend of Mr Jon (the group's mentor).

It was a great opportunity for them to ask questions and learn from someone who actually creates lyrics and music. 

Ms. Maia was so generous with her time that she stayed to help them begin the creative side of their Exhibition. She listened and supported them in creating the lyrics, whilst also helping them to understand how to make that work with their music choice.

Here are some of the group's thoughts on the experience: 

Max:Ms. Maia has taught me a lot about music and songwriting. I now feel very experienced and happy.

Amanda: I felt enthusiastic about my art form, because Ms. Maia showed me a lot of things about songwriting ad how to create a catchy hook.

Marylin: I feel proud of everyone because we accomplished the chorus.

Jacky: We started to create lyrics that have a child's perspective about our issues, and it is exciting that we have connected our issue, created a message and are now linking with our media type. x
